DELQA Switch Settings
DELQA and DELQA-PLUS (DELQA-YM) Switch Settings ======================================================================== The DELQA is a Q-bus Ethernet adapter. The usual cabinet kit provides a 10Base5 (AUI) connector. The DELQA replaces the obsolete DEQNA. The standard DELQA (M7516) and the DELQA-PLUS, also known as the DELQA-YM, "DELQA-T", and "DELQA Turbo" (M7516-YM), use the same hardware but different firmware. ======================================================================== The 5-position switch sets the mode and CSR address. DELQA Ethernet Cable Kit
DELQA (DEQNA?) Ethernet Cabinet Kit Cable This document describes the cabinet kit for a DELQA Q-bus Ethernet interface board. The kit comprises the AUI connector and fuse assembly at the bulkhead panel, and the cable from the bulkhead panel to the DELQA board. The kit for a DEQNA was similar, and this one would probably work for a DEQNA, too. The connector at the board end of the cable is a 2x12 position, 0.1-inch pitch female. The corresponding connector on the DELQA (M7516[YM]) is a 2x10 male. The outer two pairs of hole on the female connector are unused, but the male connector accomodates the 2x12 female connector. The pin numbers shown below are for the 2x10-pin male connector on the board. The AUI connector is a DB15-S (female). The fuse on the bulkhead panel near the AUI connector is a 1.5A, 25V, slow-blow. "Bare" is the inner shield. The outer shield is connected to the bulkhead panel near the AUI connector. As the author (dimly) recalls, the DEQNA cabinet kit cable had one fewer wire, presumably not a very important one.

EQNA Jumper Settings ======================================================================== The DEQNA (M7504) is a Q-bus Ethernet adapter. The usual cabinet kit provides a 10Base5 (AUI) connector. The DEQNA is obsolete (even by Q-bus standards), troublesome, and not supported by VMS since about V5.4. A compatible card, the DELQA, replaces the DEQNA. ======================================================================== Jumper W1 sets the CSR address. Right two pins: CSR = 17774440 (Default) Left two pins: CSR = 17774460 Jumper W2 controls a fair-access timer which provides a delay before re-requesting the Q-bus. It has two DIP switch sets (hardware revision level and unit number) and one jumper set (CSR address). ======================================================================== The hardware revision level DIP switch is set to match the module revision level, which is stamped on the back of the module.
